Handshake Partners

Time : 10 Minutes

 

Materials Needed:

  • Power point with questions for each handshake.

 

Instructions:

  • To start off this activity you want to have the participants in 2 concentric circles. (They can start in a circle and after the first person steps in every other person steps in.)
  • Have the inside circle face the outside circle and shake hands with the person in front of them. (This way you can manage the pairs, is there one missing, etc..)
  • Introduce handshake:
    • Lumberjack
    • Fisherman
    • Cappucino
    • Jellyfish
    • Coca-Cola
    • Heartbeat

 

Rules:

  • Make sure that the participants remember their handshake partners
  • You can’t choose your partner

  • Great activity to help group participants

Group Draw

Group Draw

 Time: 10 Minutes Group Size: No max

Materials Needed:

  • 1 piece of flipchart paper per group
  • 1 markers per group

Instructions:

  • Participants will create an image according to a prompt given by the facilitator
  • Each group must select one person to begin the image.
  • This person begins the drawing until the facilitator calls “switch”
  • At this point the next participant must grab the marker and continue the drawing.

Rules:

  • You must keep your marker on the paper at all times (even when switching between participants).

Note:

  •  Prompt examples:
    • Draw what an inspired school looks like.
    • Draw what a collaborative community looks like.
