Instructions:
- Participants will have to create 2 concentric circles and partner with someone.
- The participant will be in the same pair for the whole activity
- There are three calls:
- Horses: When this is called one partner gets on all fours on the floor, and the other sits on the “Horse”
- Knights: When this is called one partner gets on one knee, and the other person sits on their partner’s knee, and raising their right hand as if they are holding a sword to the air.
- Cavaliers: When this is called one partner jumps in the arms of their partner
- To start partners will go around in their assigned circle to the right, so both circles should go opposite ways, they keep going around the circle until the facilitator makes a call, at this time they must find their partner and get into position as soon as possible.
Rules:
- This is competition so try to get in the position as quick as possible.
- Last person in the position gets kicked out, and they help judge.
Notes:
- Consider using one of the handshake partners as a partner
- Some people might be uncomfortable with this type of activity so you can give them the power of choice to sit out for the duration of the activity.
Animals in the Jungle: Style of Activity

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
- Participants will have to create 2 concentric circles and partner with someone.
- The participant will be in the same pair for the whole activity
- There are three calls:
- Lions in the Jungle: When this is called one partner gets on their knees on the floor and holds their hands up as if they were ready to scratch, and the other stands behind their partner with their hands in the same position. Both partners have to imitate roaring sounds when in this position.
- Monkeys in a Tree: When this is called the pair will link arms and jump in place as if they were monkeys, while also imitating a monkey sound.
- Birdy on a Perch: When this is called one partner gets on one knee, and the other person sits on their partner’s knee, and flap their arms as if they are birds, the birds will replicate bird sounds.
- To start partners will go around in their assigned circle to the right, so both circles should go opposite ways, they keep going around the circle until the facilitator makes a call, at this time they must find their partner and get into position as soon as possible.
- While going around in circles they are to sing this song: “Animals in the Jungle, A yo, A yo, Animals in the Jungle, A yo A yo”, They will do this continuously until the facilitator makes a call.
